Our olive mill is a family business founded in 1989, when Manolo Rus and Jose Jimenez decided to embark on this fascinating world of olive oil, acquiring a small factory in Begijar (Jaen). Today, their children and grandchildren continue this family work.
With great enthusiasm and few tools they began to create together what is now a genuine reality, a traditional family business, and at the same time, at the forefront production technologies. The beginnings were difficult, the means that counted were those of the time, hydraulic presses, capachos, decantation pools, huge mountains of fruit and mainly the illusion to get the best possible olive oils every year.
Today, Oleicola San Francisco, has modern facilities and an exemplary production system in the olive oil sector. The prestigious guide Flos Olei 2015 awarded us with the "Emergent Olive Mill of the Year", definitely, a great recognition of the work carried out.
